Welcome to the Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue
Please visit our donation page to find out how you can help us by buying through our sponsors. We get a percentage all of the sales and that will benefit our Rottie’s. We have so many ways that you can help our rotties even if you can't adopt one. See help our cause below.
The goal of Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue Inc. (SCRR) is
to rescue Rottweiler's from animal shelters, humane societies
and other rescue organizations where otherwise the dogs would
be euthanized. We rarely accept personal surrenders but if
you are interested in finding a new home for your Rottie we
would be happy to place your dog on our courtesy listing page.
Those of you who may see a Rottweiler in a shelter and wish
to provide a foster home, please see our Foster Page link.
SCRR Inc. is a nonprofit organization recognized by both the
IRS and the state of California -- your donation may be tax
deductible.
A special thanks to
thank the elusive James Wilson of Wells Fargo for his continued and
generous support of our rescue.
We would also like to thank the Redwood Krest K9 Center, Battle Ground Washington, and Christina Reiley for their generous donation to our rescue.
Ivy Thanks Her Supporters for their Help!
Ivy Before
Ivy was dumped by her owner in SF animal control probably
because he did not want to pay for her eye surgery. She was on their
euthanasia list when we pulled her from animal control. She has obviously been abused and was afraid to go outdoors and would
only go to the bathroom in a crate.
We think she must have been in an apartment and never let outside. She is doing much better now and has learned to go
to the bathroom outside and she now enjoys being
outside.
We would like to thank all who contributed to
Ivy's medical expenses, and we would like to especially thank George
for his generous contribution in memory of his Rottie Kauai.
Ivy After
Ivy had entropian eyelid surgery on both eyes on Jan. 24th and as you can see she now looks fabulous! She is smiling and happy now with a very bright future. She just left the rescue to join her forever family in Santa Rosa.
More Rotties in of need medical assistance: See their stories. We are looking for guardians to support their care expenses by making monthly donations toward their care cost.

Lost a beloved rottie to cancer? Join the fight for a cure to canine cancer. Thanks to all the people who participated in the past K9 Cancer Walks which raised over $556,000 for the Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer Campaign to fund research for early detection methods, more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for canine cancer.
The walks were founded by Sandy and George Vilahu, SCRR volunteers, after losing two beloved rottweilers to cancer. The Rottweiler Team has raised close to $10,000 at the walks! Please join us in Sacramento area (Elk Grove) walk on April 29, 2012. The Rottweiler Team is "Abby & Friends" Abby was adopted from SCCR in 2010 and acts as the K9 Ambassador for both walks. If you can't attend please consider making a donation to this very worthy cause. For more information visit: K9CancerWalk.org
